Understanding Our Role

What this means for the organisations we work with

When you engage Care Village Foundation for POSH training, you are working with a team that:

  • Is recognised by a central government ministry as a resource institution for this subject
  • Brings grounded, field-level experience from years of community and workplace engagement
  • Designs training that goes beyond compliance, aiming to shift understanding and behaviour — not just tick a box
  • Understands both the legal framework of the Act and the lived realities of the workplaces it is meant to protect

About the POSH Act, 2013

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 requires every workplace with ten or more employees to:

  • Constitute an Internal Committee (IC)
  • Conduct regular awareness programmes
  • Ensure a safe, respectful environment for women employees

Organisations that fail to comply are liable to penalties under the Act.

Training is not just a legal formality. It is often the difference between a policy that exists on paper and a workplace where people genuinely feel safe reporting concerns.

Our Approach to Training
01

Clarity

Plain-language explanations of rights, responsibilities and redressal mechanisms, without legal jargon that leaves participants more confused than when they started.

02

Relevance

Case studies and scenarios drawn from real workplace contexts, tailored to the sector and culture of the organisation we are working with.

03

Follow-through

Support that does not end when the session does — including guidance for Internal Committees and ongoing consultation where needed.
